Hi all! The Logistics Strategy & Ops team at DoorDash is hiring for an Associate Manager to help scale Drive (white label fulfilment service) and New Verticals (DashMart, convenience, alcohol). The team’s mandate is to implement initiatives that deliver efficiency gains across the logistics platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners such as Product, Eng, Analytics, and other S&O teams to execute on these initiatives. The team is looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with SQL is a must. If interested, please DM me your resume and 2 - 3 sentences on why you’d be a strong fit by Monday. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the role in the meantime!
Jenina had been working in tech for a number of years before joining The Commons. She spent time as a Business Project Intern at Google and a Business Manager at GrabPay, a superapp serving Southeast Asia, where she focused on payments. Her reason for joining The Commons? While she was a spreadsheet wizard - having built that muscle throughout her time in banking, telecom and tech - she said “SQL evades me. I have tried learning it online 3X but failed miserably. Hopefully I’ll finally pick it up here.” And, she did just that by way of The Commons’ secret sauce: learning in live workshops (where you can actually ask questions), applying what she learned to a project (so she could retain it!), and being coached by a mentor who lives and breathes SQL in their role in tech.
While working in operations at a Series A startup, Charliepat joined The Commons to level up his generalist skill set. Through the Strategy & Operations Sprint, he honed SQL skills which enabled him to dig deeper into his company’s data. In turn, this enabled him to bridge the gap between product performance and business decisions at his organization, and unlocked higher impact projects for him to contribute towards. Charliepat’s mentor, Ujwal (BizOps at LinkedIn), coached him through how to break down ambiguous problems and identify gaps in operations. By applying his enhanced data expertise and implementing a structured approach to problem solving, Charliepat was recognized for the value he was bringing to the business with a promotion to BizOps team within a month of completing the Sprint.
Mya joined The Commons after receiving fourteen nominations for our International Women’s Day scholarship, described by friends and colleagues as kind, smart, bold and innovative - an excellent reflection of The Commons community. She was looking to explore new opportunities and explore making a pivot from healthcare consulting. Through The Commons, she honed her technical skills like SQL and analysis, and under the coaching of her mentor Ananya, built confidence to apply for roles in tech. She was keen to find an opportunity at a company that was making a positive impact, and connected with Brody - another mentor at The Commons - who happens to be the VP of Operations at Flashfood. A few short weeks later, she was setting into her role on his team as an Optimization Lead.
Raza joined The Commons after spending over 3 years honing his strategy and operations skills in telecom. He wanted to pivot into tech, and knew he needed to build his skills and network to propel him there. In his LinkedIn post, he shared how The Commons (fka Skillful) helped him understand BizOps roles in tech, hone his technical skills, develop core competencies and best practices, engage with the “most helpful community” and build relationships with individuals across diverse industries. Through the community, he met Jordy, Director of BizOps at ResQ and went on to land a role on her team. He’s now onto his second role that he’s landed through The Commons - this time, BizOps at Webflow.

The Commons, undoubtedly, changed my life. There is absolutely no other program out there that provides the same level of ROI that The Commons does. The Strategy + Operations Sprint has been instrumental in my career switch from banking into tech and without it, I don't think I would have made the jump.
Pivoting into Tech has been something I had in mind for a while. The Commons turned it into something concrete for me within a few weeks by allowing me to join an amazing community rich of caring people always willing to share their experience and help and by building solid programs bridging the gap between my consulting background and the Tech world. Truly the secret recipe to successfully transitioning into Tech!
Joining The Commons is the best thing I've done for my career. Through the program, I learned about tech (BizOps in particular), levelled up my skills, and made a lot of friends and mentors. Despite coming in from a non-target background, I've interviewed at 15+ tech firms, and have worked in two organizations within 8 months of finishing the program!
The Commons is so much more than a learning platform – it's a network! Without The Commons, I would not have met my hiring manager which ultimately allowed me to pivot into tech and secure a role that I am super excited about. I would highly recommend The Commons for anyone who is interested in meeting new friends, mentors, or potential future colleagues.
Being part of the community at The Commons has been so eye opening. Before joining The Commons I knew very little about roles in tech and how I would pivot without a tech background. The people are always willing to take time out of their busy schedules to share insights and opportunities to help each other accelerate their careers. I know I will have the support from this community as I continue to advance my career.
Really happy I decided to dive into the Strategy + Operations Sprint with The Commons. Had no idea the kind of impressive community I'd be seeing here. Really cool stuff! All on a whim from a Litquidity IG promo spot. Looking forward to getting settled!
The Commons community has helped me so much as I ventured into the world of tech. Such a game changer 🙌
The Commons is where world-class operators intentionally learn and grow together. Starting out complete non-technical, I was able to incubate and supercharge my budding skillsets in data, product, and growth. In fact, I loved the learning experience so much that I did 4 different programs.
The job board has given me more movement than an entire year of LinkedIn premium.
The Commons has the richest virtual learning environment that I have ever seen and I feel privileged to be able to contribute to it.
Joining The Commons was the best thing I've done for myself in 2022 😌
This community is like no other I've seen. Everyone is engaged, they root for each other to succeed, and when you need help there are always multiple people lending a hand in support. The confidence that The Commons has given me and the skills that I've learned will stay with me throughout my career. I'll always be grateful to the people here.
